Here is more of my new paintings from Anubis series.  He is traveling a lot, constantly busy – yet, he doesn’t rush. There is no need to hurry. The picture above was inspired by a cruise port in Ajaccio, Corsica.  Picture below was painted in two stages, after year and a half, I decided to repaint it – now Anubis is sipping wine, with a lady. I’m not sure if it’s a date, but it could be.

Picture below was inspired by the photo and tales of a friend, who actually bought a motor bike while traveling through India, maybe even in this very shop.

“See how the sacred old flamingoes come, Painting with shadow all the marble steps: Aged and wise, they seek their wonted perches Within the temple, devious walking, made To wander by their melancholy minds” , W.B.Yeats.

Ancient Egyptians saw flamingos as the living representation of the Ra, solar deity, who was considered to be a father of Anubis. So this is, you can say – a family portrait. For all those, who love Africa.

Raise your hand, those who feel that picture below is a familiar view. A very characteristic mood for many Polish people, something they remember from deep childhood: playing with friends, near dawn, on a not very challenging, yet entertaining enough, hilly next to the blocks.

Child follows Anubis willingly, carrying her little suitcase during the last journey. Snow is not cold anymore.
