Hello, my name is Josiah Vice and I was wondering If I could use the Paper Woods picture with the blue lighting as album artwork for my latest album. It would fit perfectly within the them of the music and it looks amazing. The album is 100% free and I will credit you with the art work.

    Your work looks amazing!

Beautiful work. I’m teaching a lesson on tints and shades with 4th graders who are studying tornadoes. May I make copies of Green Tornado and Tornado Blues, for them to use as a basis for their own paintings?

Send me your mail if you need a bit bigger resolution 🙂 or any other help.
Greetings from Cracow, PL and good luck to your 4th graders 🙂

Hi Joanna! The lesson with the 4th grade class went really well! I had them imagine what they would see, hear, feel or do if they were in your painting. They created beautiful paintings of tornados based on your work and included a 5 word poem.

Like you, many of them have never seen a live tornado. They were fascinated when I share that the tornadoes were like a self-portrait for you. We had an interesting discussion of what you might have been feeling or working out when you painted the tornadoes.

I took some pictures of their art work. The kids would love to share these with you. May I send you some? How do I send them to you?

Also, I am taking and on-line class through NYMoMA and would like to use your artwork: Green Tornado, as the inspiration for the lesson I developed for our final assignment. Would it be OK to include an image of your artwork in the lesson plan- I will also include a link to your work.

There are 17,000 people in this class world-wide. It would be cool to get your artwork out there.

        Thanks again. Esther

    Hi Esther!

Thank you for your reply! I am SO CURIOUS about the works of little artists – if you can please send some of the reproductions to jot.karpowicz@gmail.com. If it’s possible I will be very happy to publish them on my blog with a commentary. This is fascinating, how world becomes smaller and how cool the exchange of thoughts and ideas can be.

And OMG! please, feel free to use my work as a piece of your project (NYMoMA on-line class). I’ll honored to take part in it 🙂

I love the way you work with kids – in Poland (ad least in public schools) kids are very limited in the way they can express their individuality, their individual point of view (not only in creative activities, but in general). The contact between teacher and student is very formal, often limited to a “one way communication”. I hope it is a generational thing and it will pass.

I’ll be waiting for GREAT TORNADOES! 🙂
Please, say “hi!” to Kids from me 🙂
    Greetings from Cracow,
    Take care
    Joanna
